My View on the Seasons

Must be nice having real Winters….

You get to see everything so pure and white.

And so innocent looking.

Unlike yourself. 😛

You can fall back into the snow without the fear of pain.

And just… make snow angels!

Just to stand up and put footprints in it,

Comparing whose angel was more symmetrical.

Maybe even forming a ball to hurl at an unsuspecting neighbor.

Just for the hell of it!

Me — I don’t ever get to see the snow.

And TV is NOTHING like the real deal.

I can’t feel, taste, and experience a TV. Unless I’ma weirdo in a bad way.

People take it for granted.

Where I live, the weather never changes.

We don’t see Autumn

Or Spring.

Or Winter.

What we have is Summer 365 days a year.

When you’re deprived of something so simple,

It’s weird how it’s not really that simple anymore.

And to all the people who see all the seasons –

Oh man you guys are lucky.

You get to witness Earth as it changes and rearranges.

It’s like seeing an entire life span out.

You see when Earth is born.

You see Earth grow.

You see Earth die.

And you watch it repeat,

But do you see how significant that is?

Do you really see?

How beautiful it is?

    Beautiful poem. I love you.

  4. As a Mid-westerner, I am probably guilty of not appreciating the changing of the seasons as I should. It’s just always been there. Thanks for reminding me to appreciate it.

    • Blazing summers – eww… Sweat, heat, not being able to wear less clothes because that’s illegal. Winters – ooooooooooo!!!

  10. This is fantastic! so many images: measuring snow angels and a creepy guy trying to experience TV snow…For never experiencing the snow you capture the magic it still holds for me that so many leave behind as they “grow up”

    Nice to read ya!

    • Lol @ Creepy guy experiencing TV snow. That still makes me laugh. XD Thanks for reading!

  11. “You get to witness Earth as it changes and rearranges.”
    Wonderful imagery.

I’ve felt like growing up in the Bay Area. Glad to hear it expressed.

  14. its amazing that people do not open their eyes to appreciate beauty in its magnificence but instead meddle in other peoples affair and get themselves into trouble after that haha!

    • It is amazing. But I’m sure everyone learns to let the beauty fade and go unnoticed. It’d be cool if everyone could look at things as if they never saw it before.

  15. But do you see how significant that is?

    Do you really see?

    How beautiful it is?
Usually, only the envious like us who cares to feel the beauty of what (in this case: 4 seasons) we don’t have.
Why us, you ask me? Well, I live in equator too. ^^
    Keep on writing.^^

    • *sigh* I wish there were more equators so more people suffer with us. LOL! j/k. 😀

  16. I enjoyed reading “My View on the Seasons.”

  17. I hear you. I’ll have see snow again finally this winter, after 10 years!

  18. There is a big difference between looking and seeing. This poem captures that well. Love and Light, Sender
